Canine Cavalry Set To
Attack Tennessee Volunteers

The Dawgs are licking their wounds after a heartbreaking loss to the Bayou Bengals last week, but will be fully combat ready for the journey up the Tennessee River this Saturday.
Lame Kiffen and the Volunteers will be dug in on the riverbank, however Joe Cox and the Georgia Regulars will be wearing their hobnailed boots and should have no problem taking the objective and bringing home a victory.

The war is far from over, and the place to watch this battle unfold is at Home Team Barbecue in West Ashley. Join your fellow Lowcountry Dawgs there for the 12:20 kick-off!

Saturday, October 10th
Kickoff, 12:20 P.M.

SUNSET FOR THE SUN DEVILS

When the sun sets on Saturday night, the Arizona State Sun Devils will find themselves in a very dangerous place to be -- Between the Hedges! Joe Cox really lit it up last week, and Cox and the Dawgs will be making ASU see sun spots all night long in Sanford Stadium.

Come on out to Home Team Barbecue in West Ashley -- there's no better place in the Lowcountry for Georgia Football!

PRE-SEASON BULLDOG CLUB PARTY!

It's time for our annual pre-season "tailgate party", and you will not want to miss this one!

Former Bulldog quarterback Mike Cavan will join us on August 12th to share his thoughts on the 2008 team and season.

Mike Cavan led the 1968 Dawgs to an 8-0-2 season and the SEC Championship, and was selected over Archie Manning to the AP All-SEC Team! Over the past 16 years, he has served as head football coach at Valdosta State, East Tennessee and SMU. He served as an assistant coach for the Bulldogs from 1975-1985, after two seasons as a graduate assistant. Mike was head coach at Valdosta State from 1986-1991; East Tennessee from 1992-1996; and SMU from 1997-2001. He joined the UGA Athletic Association Development Office as a consultant in August, 2002. Mike is married to the former Becky Pittard of Duluth, Georgia. They have two grown children -- Michael, Fernandina Beach, Florida, and Mima, Dallas, Texas.

Please join us at 6:30 on Tuesday, August 12th, at The Point Grill at Patriot's Point. We will have a private meeting room there, and there will be food and a cash bar.

It's membership renewal time, and any members who renew before this event will get in free and renew at a reduced rate! Individual renewals will be only $20, and family renewals are reduced to $35! Mail your check to the club at P. O. Box 32094, Charleston 29417 -- or pay on the website through Pay Pal. (Go to www.lowcountrydawgs.com).
